hello my name is rikki, my brother has a 2009 yota tacoma prerunner 4.0 and he bought after market wheels and tires for his truck. i made this account to ask this question and show it to him so he can make a correct decision. this is what we are faced with.

his stock wheel hub is a 106 mm measurement

his new wheels have a measurement of 87 mm

his problem is the hub is too big for his new rims. the rims dont fit over the hub. he bought hub centric rings that are labeled 106mm to 87 mm so it sounds like it would step the hub size down so that it will fit, but instead it doesnt fit the 87 mm bore on his new wheels at all. not sure what to do or tell him at this point because hes getting impatient.

    thaanl you

I’m betting what he bought is a spacer with a ID of 87 and an OD of 106.

    None... yet
These are the options I can think of:
    1) Have the wheel hub bored out to 106mm.
    2) Find a wheel spacer that will adapt a 87mm wheel bore to the 106mm hub bore. This will probably be at least 1" thick. I am not even sure if these exist or will work.
    3) Return the wheels for correct fitting wheels with a 106mm bore.
That hub centric adapter is for fitting a wheel with a 106mm bore onto a 87mm hub. It can't work the other way around.

Imo. #3 is the best option.
