    Howdy folks!

haki9975 checking in here, just a few hours after pulling my new-to-me 2014 TRD Sport into the driveway!

I've been in the market for a truck for a couple of months and have had a few near-misses with both Tacoma's and a few Nissan Frontiers. Basically all of the Tacoma's in my price range were straight rust buckets- one even had a few dime sized holes in the frame! I crawled under this red one today and exclaimed "oh fuck yeah, this is my truck!"

I'm coming off of a 2012 Subaru Forester that consumed wicked amounts of oil, not to mention started hemorrhaging oil from the valve covers and the timing chain cover. Fortunately I was able to sell that and haphazardly found the truck I bought today with a casual glance at the local listings (after having decided to stop my exhaustive searching temporarily to let some fresh inventory to cycle through)

I got lucky- I thought I had bad luck with a dealership selling off a 2011 while I was in the room after having driven a couple hours to get there, and after a guy called me off to tell me he sold his Frontier when I was halfway through the 2 hour trip to see him... This one popped up 5 miles from my house. Took it for a spin, thought about it over a hoagie and returned to sign the papers just as two people waving checks came in looking for the same truck.... Good things happen if you are patient!

Anyways, here is a shot of the new whip- I believe this is what one might call Barcelona Red? I had my heart set on a white, grey, or dark green truck but I must say I can't complain. My partner drove a red 1989 Toyota Truck with the 22r and now owns a red 1992 Isuzu truck so she has taken to calling me the copycat... C'est la vie!

Red trucks get to park in the fire lane... right?

    Cheers,
I look forward to learning from all of you!

Quick question for you all... The truck came equipped with the Entune Plus touchscreen and I've successfully connected my phone... In trying to register for the app on my phone I am told to "Download the Toyota app to connect with your vehicle"... Ok, great, done- was able to do that and sign up for the app no problem. Entune still is giving me the same error message on my phone- whether I manually enter or use the camera to enter the VIN.

Then, I tried to sign up on the Entune website and I'm still not able to register for an account. Am I missing something? The Toyota app even tells me this truck was outfitted stock with the Entune Audio Plus system. Am I able to run their app suite with the audio plus? Anyway to install navigation to the audio plus system, or do I need to replace the headunit to do that?

No wonder this (cr)app only gets one star in the Apple store...

    Cheers
