    so after browsing this forum and seeing all the suggestions I thought id throw out what i could do outside of taking it to a pro shop to get my stereo tuned.

    Headunit - Alpine ILX-259
    Front Door Speakers - JL C2-650x
    Tweeter - Subaru Kicker Tweeters
    Rear Speakers - JL C2-650x
    Subwoofer - JL 10TW3
    Amp - JL XD600 Mono
    JL Sub knob

    Future Plans - sound deadening in the doors and behind sub, i still actively use the storage on the drivers side.

    Current Settings
    Sound
    Bass =1
    Treble = 5
    Sub W Level = 10
    Sub W Phase = 0º

    Graphic EQ
    250Hz = -1
    500Hz = -1
    1KHz = -2
    3KHz = 0
    10KHz = 2

    Time Correction
    All Set to Default

    Volume - CarPlay - im using this 95% of the time
    Entertainment = 6
    Notification = 16
    Ringtone = 6

    X-over
    SubLFE = 80Hz - Slope 6
    Rear = 100Hz - Slope 12
    Front = 80Gz - Slope 12

    i took a bit of footage with my GoPro and uploaded to YouTube

    roast, suggestions I'm all for it

    Get a true component set for the fronts and amp them. Everything else is good.
    Try 12 db slope for the sub.

    Yes a 4 channel. Or even a 5 channel might be better so you can run your entire system. 50x4 minimum for the speakers, 300 watts minimum for the sub channel.

    It kind of surprises me that a lot of head units don't have this built in.

    I'm old school and, way back when in the 80s a buddy of mine had an Alpine equalizer with a built-in microphone that would automatically set the eq. He'd change it in the winter, spring/fall and summer; with the change of clothing or of he had another occupant.

    I'd chuckle everytime I climbed in.

    Alpine hu, eq, Nakamichi amp, a/d/s 300i. It sounded very very nice.

    Since you changed slope on the sub to 12db, try swapping the sub phase 180

    12db slope puts you at 180 degrees out of phase at the crossover point. You may benefit from changing phase of sub

    It doesn’t really matter unless you are doing time correction. The distance between the speakers puts the sub about 1/4 wavelength off, so changing polarity 180 degrees just puts it 1/4 off on the other end of the cycle.
