How many miles when you changed out the carrier bearing and u-joint?

Around 40k... both CB and center u joint were perfectly fine. But i upgraded to a ford ranger CB thats much stiffer (4x4s only), and while i had the center u joint half apart to do so, i figured for 26 bucks may as well throw a new one in and keep the original as a spare.

I prefer the center zerk if you can get it. The end cap zerk tends to grease the caps in line with the zerk better than the two perpendicular caps. You will end up getting grease out two caps and the other two will not pass grease. Having said that, mine have 150,000 not so easy miles on them and are still good,.....so there you go. :notsure:

Totally sounds like a Cardan that's eating itself. Honestly, find a non-serviceable U-joint if you can. Unless you're going to be habitually greasing those buggers every 5000m, you're better off putting in a non-greasable one and replacing it FURTHER down the line. The Greasable might last you longer if you regularly grease it, but if not, the sealed one would be a better choice IMO.

Any chance you have a part number for the Ranger bearing? How does it perform differently? I am having trouble imagining how a stiffer bearing might work in that application...

Have search just about every U joint thread but cant seem to locate the part #'s (spicer?) for the U joint in the front drive shaft.
Tons of references to the rear ones (3 required) but none for the front..
Long way probably from needing them but like to have the numbers on hand.
    Thanks in advance...

    And its a 2015 DCLB 4.0 Auto

Everthing I've read says those are the two different part numbers you need to replace all five u joints.

Just to verify, these are correct for a 2011 DCSB TRD OR, rear driveshaft? And I'll need 3?

Amazon says no fit, but sometimes Amazon is a liar.
