So I'm someone who has never worked on cars or done any mods in their life.

I saw recommendations to do the subaru tweeter swap and saw mainly positive reviews so i went for it. I got them for $90 on Amazon and it was worth the relatively cheap price. And a super easy install.

I listen to all types of music including deep bass r&b/hip hop to IDM/EDM where bass and highs are equally important (any Dave Tipper fans out there?)

Anyways - I plan on upgrading the doors eventually but these tweeters were an awesome upgrade to better capture highs/vocals without it sounding too screechy if that makes sense.

8/10 would do again. I'm sure there's something better out there but for this price point im happy.

I just did the Subaru tweeter project myself, plus I swapped out the door speakers for Kicker KS 6x9s in front and 6.5s in back. I know there are plenty of discussions about speaker brands, adding amps, and changing the head unit, but I only wanted new speakers (for now). I went with all Kicker to go with the Kicker tweeters and my already installed Hideaway HS8 subwoofer.

Mine is a second generation Tacoma - I was nervous about the wire harness modification and wiring pin swapping, so I found the sockets at Toyota and did a dry run ahead of time. This way, if I destroyed a socket connected to the truck, I had spares ready. As everyone said, it was very easy and I didn't need the spare sockets, though I will suggest applying some heat with a hair dryer. That helped make those tabs much more pliable.

    For reference, the socket is:
    Toyota 90980-11013
    "Housing, connector F"
List price $8.09 each (For me, well worth the peace of mind to have them, just in case!)
