Have you ever replaced any pads? You're hard on them! My rears felt like that when they were gone.

Insulated the back panel, cleaned the tank and relocated, and redid the plumbing (for that part).

I'll save the entire bucket of kittens for you! :bucket:

It's funny how 2 momma cats placed thier kittens in old mineral buckets, Im guessing that keeps them from wiggling away.

As unfortunate as your break down is the good news is that my future in telemedicine looks promising thanks to this. ;)
Don't forget to bench bleed the master and if you get the tundra master with hard lines all you can use a jack handle to wrap it around gently. That's what I did. And look for the plastic caps too.

I took it to Toyota because no one had ever touched the back! And that is exactly what it feels like. Sitting at the top of Triple C drive, and no confidence you can stop. Have you checked your rear drums @ohcaltexscar ?

It's worth it to me to let a shop do it. Pain in my sass....

I haven’t pulled them off to look underneath. I’m parked on an inclined street so no jacking it up right now.
Nothing is wet back there. Unless those drums have a Herculean seal or rusted over and trapped the fluid inside there should be some fluid escaping and visibly draining somewhere. At least I would guess that would be the case.

A bit expensive, I think I can get the fittings from an auto parts store. The MC and Booster I can get from LKQ here for around 180$. Comes with a little warranty and they have some good low mileage choices.

See, that was my deal. The fronts had been done just before I got the truck, then had fluid exchanged - because it always felt soft. It was "better", but I finally went back to the dealer and had them inspect the rear pads. (They never do that during any normal service). I had 0.5 mm of pad! No wonder. When the service records showed brakes - further investigation into those services revealed FRONT only. I had 200K old rears.

BTW, tell your father-in-law that if he tries those compression socks us old farts were discussing, wear his regular socks right over them. Compressions are thin, and my feet got uncomfortable. Does great for the ankles and legs, but my feet ended up hurting. Figured it out today! Tell him we'll have another beer someday soon!

The only thing I got was that 4 way valve at ACE. I needed it for my experiments, and it worked perfectly for that.
