What's up everyone! I recently traded my beloved and trusty 02' Spruce Mica Access Cab with 260k, for a 2013 DCLB with only 90K. So I reckon I'm moving on up to the 2nd gen world, and stoked to be here!

I live in Summit County, Utah, and put my vehicles to work regularly in the mountains around here. Primarily on beat up Forest Service roads to Alpine lakes, with some actual wheeling in the mix here and there. If you also live in UT or WY, and like to fish/camp, I would love to meet up and hit the trails sometime. Bonus points if you can row a raft!

So far I haven't done much to the truck, other than the mandatory cheap free mods of course - like color matching the chrome grill surround, blacked out all emblems, and deleted a few of them. (Storm Troopers Unite) I also installed amber fog bulbs, and some Baja squadron ditch lights (we have deer and elk all over the place here). Oh! And I just added a shell this week, with a custom bed build out for camping and fishing. I had the same buildout setup in my 02' and it proved to be super valuable.

Future plans are to install the TrailPro 6112/5160 kit with JBA control arms in the next few months, and hopefully a tune if HP or OV ever get it together for these 2nd gens.

Anyhow, here's a few obligatory pics of the truck when I bought it in January and where she stands today, just a few months later! Stoked to learn from all of you and hopefully meet a few folks along the way.

Nice truck! I have nearly the same rig with the exception of being the sport. Find the shell secondhand? I’d like to see your build inside!

Yep, secondhand find. And it took many, many days of vigilant searching to find a long bed shell that wasn't like $1,200+. Found this one for $300 in Idaho. Had to drive a few hours, and re-rivet the rear window channel, but that was easy enough and worth saving almost a thousand bucks.

As for the bed buildout, I need to recover the carpeted bed board with black carpet, but otherwise it's perfect for my use. It's setup to sleep 1 with full headroom, and converts to sleep 2 with less headroom with plenty of gear storage underneath. This setup worked well for years in my 02'
