About a month ago I went and got my oil changed because I did not have time to do it myself because of work. Not 20 minutes later running 65mph my engine light started flashing and when I accelerated I didn’t have no power and my rear end would start bouncing. So I pull over turn it off turn it back on and fine made it home. The next morning I hop in my truck cold start it and leave when I make it to 45 mph it does the same thing. I turn it off and back on and fine. Well I got my codes ran and it was a misfire on cylinder 6. And also a bank 2 sensor 2. So I replaced the sensor it felt like it had more power then the next morning it misfired again. So I went to oriley and bought new spark plugs and new coil packs and it was fine for a few days then boom misfiring again. But if I crank my truck before I leave and wait about 10 minutes it will not misfire but at a cold start it will. And randomly when I go the speed of 60-65 mph it will misfire and I will have to turn it off and back on for it to run correctly. What is my next step because I am lost. Thought about changing the catalytic converter figured it might be clogged or something.

First things first. Right after oil change. Bone heads been known to forget to put oil in. Leave the filter loose. Cross thread your drain plug. So I’d check the dip stick.

Unless someone else knows and says it’s this or that, I don’t know. I’d go through eliminating possibilities. Check for cooling system electrolysis, battery terminals oxidized, good ground negative terminal to block, coil pack & injectors connectors are connected good with no pins pushing out.

Since a month has passed, you probably won’t have luck going back to the oil change place. Also, probably better to not let them touch it.

How’s the cooling system look? Radiator full? Also how many miles on the truck?
