Took my two idiots out for a drive in our local state park a couple of days ago.

Nearing the halfway point on a fairly heavily wooded road, I saw that there was a car creeping up behind us, so I accelerated a *tiny* bit and then maintained that newer speed. We were doing about 15-17 mph when i heard a huge WHOMP! and the truck jolted.

A tree about 70 feet in height just gave up on this sunny, windless day and fell.

I'm glad I sped up as much as I did- I'm not certain we would've made it otherwise.

The damn truck didn't have a scratch on it before this. And I just installed my Clazzios about a week and a half ago. Dammit.

    Be careful out there.

Keep the bed. Tell the neighbors you just got back from storm chasing with Helen Hunt.

Glad you're ok and sorry about your truck.

If it's any consolation, this is the best Friday (almost) thread in a long time.

That changed the tune of the day.. I'm sure you are glad to be ok but that certainly put a dent in your feelings and truck.. like the wheels though!

Yup. For a total of three idiots in the car. You can just barely see Ladys’ ears in the side view photo.
