    I believe that is correct, you just can’t carry in Illinois as they don’t honor any other states ccw permit. Personally, if it were me living in a border state with Illinois, I would get a Illinois permit, it’s honored in 28 states, and let’s face it, you spend a lot of time in Illinois.
