    Hello,

I recently upgraded to 295/75/16 KO2s from stock after having the rough country 4inch lift/level installed. I'll cut to the chase. I've got some rubbing issues.

Looking for tips and advice on where to go from here, not looking for abrasive comments or judgement.PXL_20210408_204420976.jpg PXL_20210408_204414311.jpg PXL_20210407_201256138.jpg PXL_20210407_201118343.jpg

Where to go is the store, buy an angle grinder and start cutting the cab mount.

But no seriously, you will have to cut the cab mount (both left and right side) and likely cut the front portion of your bumper a little bit.

Don't avoid the abrasives! You'll need em for the cab mount chop.

There seems to be no threat of rubbing in the front. I am looking into CMC but am just worried it wont fix my problem. I really enjoy the new look but if this is gonna be something where I cant take a right turn on red without rubbing, even after the CMC, then I'm just going to cut my losses now and get smaller tires.

My tires rubbed in the front badly, but mine are also larger than yours height wise. I’m assuming your truck is a 4” spacer/puck lift? If so then the cab mount chop will make the tires fit perfectly fine. I do understand being hesitant to start cutting into your truck though, I felt the same. Now that I’ve done it though I couldn’t be happier with how it looks, well maybe it would catch my eyes more if it was paid off. In September it will be, finally!!!

To be honest I'm really not sure what it is. Its definitely a rough country, I had it installed at a Les Schwab in my area. I believe its either this or something similar.

    Options:
    -less aggressive wheel offset
    -smaller tire size
    -cut/melt plastic
    -cab mount chop
    -hammer pinch weld
    -more positive caster from LCA

Some are more effective than others; some, more expensive than others. The last one might not be an option depending on your current settings.

    I'd start cutting.

There is something missing from that setup though. There are definitely spacers as well.

Are you referring to spacers on the top of the strut (that’s what I’m referring to) or spacers between your wheel and hub?

On top of the strut, I'll take some more pictures in a few minutes when I'm off work.

I would start with having them recheck the alignment and seeing if they can increase caster at the lower control arm this will move the tire away from the cab mount but may force the tire into the front bumper and cause rubbing there. You are probably going to have to cut one or the other and potentially both.

That’s a spacer lift on a stock strut. Your best bet is to take it to a shop and have them weld the cmc plates in if you can’t do it yourself. Also start reading about changing cv boots because yours are going to tear at some point if you keep if that high.

Looking at this cam it looks like you should go back and have them adjust the alignment

Tuff Country ≠ Rough Country. If a dealer said they installed that lift you posted a link for, you need to get your money back. Looks like a spacer lift and 300 dollar control arms.
