    The t slot nuts that go in the bed rails to mount the tonneau brackets are super rusted and I’m looking to replace them. Anyone buy replacements that are compatible with the hardware that came with the rack?

    I believe they're just generic. I found some on Amazon which I used to mount a shovel for the winter. Those are starting to rust as well, however. You could also try some Evaporust and some paint if they're bad enough.

    The ones I had were rusty so I meant to soak them in some CLR for a day then clean up and paint them. I forgot about them in the CLR bath all week and they basically disintegrated. Oops lol. I’ll take a look on Amazon!

    I've never tried the CLR bath, but I love Evaporust. I restored 2 1970's Schwinn bicycles with it as well as a few axes and hatchets.

    Just an update. I bought the second item in my post above, because I didn't need the screws that came with #1.

    They came yesterday and I installed them this AM. Exact size/fit as listed, now the rusty ones I was using are in the dumpster.

    It made the stainless bolts look brand new, but literally melted the unprotected zinc bolts. I’ll definitely get some evaporust next time, and not forgetting about them soaking all week would probably help too.

    Evaporust works great! And it's not acidic.

    Definitely no issues melting bolts lol. I've only ever had to use it for 24 hours at a time, but I've left things in for a little longer just in case. A good rinse and scrub cleans the items up nicely afterwards.
