Thanks Rob! It's an adventure. You can tell by all the drips still there, that there were too many plants over-wintering in there! Going to have to try and thin them out, and make the big plants go into smaller pots next winter. That, and insulate the shoes out it! The bottom big plants were already out a couple weeks back, and I think we lost 50%. Some are now showing leaves though. Yesterday was the top rack removal and clean. Those plants did alright, except for the Hibiscus cuttings, but we usually lose a lot of those anyway. The row next to the shed of the good ones tell me I have about the normal survivors - and they like that location.

Get some Rx, and stop at Ace for some watering system doo-dads this morning, and then relocate my reservoir in there, and do my watering experiments. Depending when that gets done, transplant the new veggies into big pots and reload for this year. The other change for year two with this thing is the shade cloth on top, and a bigger fan on a control. We shall see. Then, I can start playing with aquaponic seedlings!

Good Morning and Have a great fourth Friday everyone!

    Good morning everyone!! Happy Friday!!

Yesterday was gorgeous - really made me look forward to summer. Lynn and I went out and played 9 holes of golf in the morning. Then I pulled the Z3 out and started prepping it for the season - a good cleaning inside and out. I let it dry overnight and then will treat the top and the roof and trunk seals today. I'll also give it a good waxing today, too. It was kind of the end of an era - pulled out the Garmin GPS and put in a new mount for my iPhone and will just run Google Maps for routing. I have a Garmin HUD that runs through an APP and links with Google already so they'll be linked now, too. The Z is still looking pretty good for 25 years old.

I also power washed the front porch while I had the power washer out.

Last night we had dinner at Lackawanna College's student-run restaurant. Awesome meal as always and the weather was so nice we got to sit outside. Perfect.

Have a great day and be safe!!

Good Morning! Time for my physical today. Next up will be a trip to the barber shop and then a shopping stop at BJ's Club. Such an exciting day. LOL

Everyone have a great day today.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals and Gal! Back at it today. Have to plant the 3 Liriope I bought in Seguin out front, then back to the veggies and drips. Put insulation and "sun block" panel in behind the pump and reservoir - will cut down the algae that grew in the tank. Conducted my experiments, and I'm an just going to eliminate the clogging drips, and control by flow and time. I can set the timer to any 1 minute increment up to 16 times a day, and I'm sick of those emitters clogging up on me! Did get all the little leaks squared away though! And that multi-port valve will let me customize the flows and zones a little more! It might even work right longer than a week!

    Happy Friday Friday all!

    Good morning all,

What a day yesterday, busy morning with a submission deadline that needed additional (last minute changes added to a project) details the Fire Marshall was asking for on a CAD layout. Should have known it would get worse. Had a Zoom meeting scheduled for 1500 with some partners of a consortium we created of small business consultants to go over some challenges our clients are facing with the constant COVID changes for event owners trying to open back up. We use the Zoom's to see if we can find solutions through the challenges each of us face. Of course that is when the septic system pump truck shows up, I had them scheduled for today but "we were in the area" so they just showed up. CRAZY two hours of multi tasking - didn't help the dogs were going nuts.

Got the tank pumped, located the distribution box - county came through with copies of the permit and plans - they too called while all of this was going on. Had to pay for the documents over the phone before they would send them, new COVD policies - can't go into their office everything is done online. Then the prime (lead contractor) for a piece of Gov work we are teaming on bidding called with concerns over some changes the Army is making after the PWS was issued to bid on. Why is everyone calling or showing up at 1445 - are hey coordinating how to make me crazy for fun?

Got through all of it and apologized to my consortium partners for not being as engaged as I would have liked.

Finishing up the CAD today with more changes from Health Dept and Fire Marshall then going to dig out the Distribution Box and get ready to snake and flush the drain field tomorrow. Renting a power snake and power washer with a hot water heater so I can run a hose with Dawn mixture (my power washer does not have the heater option).

Funs times, have a great Friday everyone - be safe

    Good Morning, All.

Maxine, my Dad's cousin, will be celebrating her 104th this weekend. Still sharp and active as ever. Kids made her give up driving 4 years ago when she turned 100. Her driving instructor said, "Ma'am, it says you were born in 1917. Isn't that a typo? Perhaps 1947?" She survived the 1918 pandemic and has gotten her 2nd Covid Vaccine, and looking forward to hugging grandkids, great-grandkids, and their kids too! 1917, Just amazing. Last of our family of that generation. She's survived cancer and has a pacemaker but still healthy.

I got my first round of Knee Injections—Series of three, a week apart. Doc had a hard time getting the needle in as I am bone on bone on both knees. I expected much, but this is my last option before both replacements, and I still have this summer to cycle through. Covid delayed my plans, so I wanted to get this done to keep walking, cycling, and swimming. I've cut down on running. My daughter drove me to the appointment as I didn't know what to expect, treated her to lunch.

Leaving the doctor's office, she commented, "you are walking better." I could actually stand a full height. It was odd, but suddenly that pain on both knees (it's like the noise. You learn to ignore it). So far, not bad. Kicking myself, I put it off so long.

I need to take it easy (no jumping jacks for a month!). Freind is trying to talk me into Gladiator Games but might have to sit this one out. I did get the OK to walk (not run) with my 50-pound kettlebell. Good core workout, hold with one hand. Walk 100', turn around and walk back with it in the other hand. At home, I use five-gallon water bottles (nice hand grip, good 40-pound weight).

Kurt -- nice hydroponics set up!

Mike -- I hear you when it rains, it pours.
