In a few hours I'm headed down the hill to the VA for my 2nd Moderna vaccine

 

First, I believe jury duty is important and our civic duty, it's how the system works.

Second, after 25 years of jury duty and a murder trial of a six year old victim, I feel I did my required service. I have been on Federal jury duty and superior jury duty and never tried to get out if it.


They took my name off the list for about 8 years, now it's back. I will try again but not for a murder trial, that was bad.

 

A murder trial sure would carry a huge burden. I would not want to have to make that decision.

 

Keep at it. The beginning of that reminded me of the Disney ride called Soaring.

 

Good Morning. Back from Dads. House is staged and ready for showing. Hard to watch age take it’s toll. Hopefully Arizona will be a good move for him. Will head back to haul more things off when they are under contract. First dose of Pfizer in and treatment for my eyes starts in a couple weeks. Take care of yourselves...it’s important. How do you try for Jury duty? I thought it was supposed to be a random selection.

I got a jury selection letter once from Pierce Co Washington, my 1stSgt sent them a letter saying it would interfere with my military duties. They replied back that I was excused from that call. I've never been called again and that was 25 years ago.

 

As someone that works for the Judicial system for the last 25 years... NO don't do that!! They will not only dismiss you they will remand you to the custody of the county Sheriff..

Any denial has to be able to stand up to HR scrutiny, so I think you'll be fine. Enjoy your time off.
