I was looking for a more affordable molle panel to put behind the seats of my double cab tacoma. I found this Hooke Road front bed molle panel, had a friend cut off the side panels highlighted in red in the photos with a band saw, and it fit perfectly in the spot where the plastic storage bins used to be. The panel comes already powder coated black. The panel has 5 tabs that stick out, I put those facing the floor. Because of the position of the screw holes on the truck wall, the panel is suspended off the truck floor by about 1/2", which is nice incase you drop something behind it.

I removed the three brackets (child seat brackets maybe?) by drilling out the rivets carefully and then just pulling with vice grips. I put noico sound deadening on the rear wall and floor first, and then just used some m6 1.0 screws that screw into the mounting points on the rear wall and some washers to tighten the panel down, 6 in total. There is a gap on top of the panel so you can stuff quick access stuff back there, like a rain coat or rope.

I can fit an ammo box and a folgers coffee bin with my ratchet straps on the floor with some room on the sides, first aid kit, queen size inflatable mattress pad, compressor, tire repair kit, small camping sleeping pad, bungie cords, a rope throw bag, and more.

The panel was 139.99$ on eBay, noico sound deadening mat 10sq ft - $20.99 on Amazon, ogrmar sound deadener roller $6.99 on amazon, and probably $5 in hardware.

    Total cost ~ $175

Let me know what you think!

That would be great, thanks! I was planning on getting in on the molle panel group buy, but this might be a better option. I'll definitely need spacers because I've already applied the black noico 80 and getting ready to apply some red nioco 150 mil. I also custom fit a rubber mat to cover the wall and help dampen road noise.

It’s 15 3/4” x 48 3/4” after cutting the sides off. Not including the tabs that stick out for mounting in the bed rails.

Yea some guy is selling em for $600-700 it’s ridiculous for something that costs $50 to make. I’ll buy 6 mass produced junk ones and replace them every 2 years.

Love this, great job. Now to find the under seat storage dimensions and modify the f150 or jeep under seat drawers to fit a Tacoma
