I just bought some new TRD Pro wheels. Price was good at $190/ea. The problem is that these are not new but "refinished". The product description was not 100% accurate as they were listed as "Toyota Tacoma 2020 16" OEM Wheel Rim". Then, hidden under one of the tabs, "This Toyota Tacoma wheel is a Factory OEM wheel. The wheel has been professionally refinished to like new condition in both quality and performance".
To make things worse, they showed up today and the front of the wheels look fine but the finish on the back and inside leave a lot to be desired (see Pics). Lots of scrapes and gaps in the powder coat. Is this level of finish typical in new OEM wheels?

Personally I’d never expect the inside or the back of the wheel to same quality finish as the front which is seen.

You're right, painting the backs would cover the problem, but I don't see it as a solution. I like the wheels because of the look and, with the slim spokes, there is great access to the inner rim for cleaning. I get into muddy conditions often so I like to pressure wash to clean out the mud. The powder coating will hold up better for this use than a spray can finish.
I think I'm going to return them and get the true OEM's from a dealer. I just priced it and it will cost me $17 per wheel more.

Did $190 a wheel include shipping and caps? It’s pretty easy to find new wheels only for around 195 without caps and shipping though.

The $190 included shipping, but no caps. I can find OEM dealer stock for $195-$197 but the cheapest shipping is +$80 for four. I did find $207 from a local dealer that I can pick up. Let me know if you know of anything better. I'm in SF Bay Area.

Go for the dealer and get them and be done with it.

Yeah I agree, new isn’t that much more.
