Things are totally normal now. By the time the little one was out of the hospital and home all was well. She's sassy as it gets compared to her big sister and too much of a thrill-seeker, but no ill effects. It was pretty crazy though when my wife sat down at the admitting station in the ER and explained what was going on they immediately put her in a wheelchair and on oxygen. It frustrated me immensely because I feel like at some point someone should have caught that prior to her being discharged.

Alright folks, I need a bit of advice. The wife blindsided my last night as we were laying in bed about to sleep with, "I need a shorter car I can't really get Charlie into the car seat".

She owns a lifted 4 runner and is about 5'2". She loved the mall crawler look and ability, but since we were unable to find a car seat that works with it and is able to swivel, I guess we have a new issue.

    SO.

Where the fuck do we go from here. She hates mini-vans and cars (I'd rock a ford transit connect if she'd go for it). Needs to be able to fit a fair amount of dogs (5) and us potentially at the same time, so something with similar space inside or more to future proof incase I make another baby. I am going to push for a volvo wagon, as thats the only wagon she really likes the looks of.

    The issues are two.

    1) She is short, has trouble lifting baby all high (baby only looking to gain weight and get heavier) but wants a taller car....she might have to give this up, but looking for options that aren't too low I guess. CUV instead of SUV??

    2) She likes boxy older looking cars. They don't really make any that I can see, that would fit.

Another thing I need to work on her with is her anti-kia stance. I'd be happy with her in a telluride...

Again, I don't even know where to start, we will have a lot of looking this weekend. Then with the car market dog shit right now...

Anyone know anyone interested in a well kept (always dealer maintained entire time) 2016 4runner with about 72k miles (give or take somewhere in there) riding on Fox suspension and KO2's let me know! Car is that dark grey they make.

    Oh shit!
I'd love that 4R, but...I am driving this one into the ground.
I like those Volvo's too. Repairs are a bitch though. Not impossible, just takes more of a specialist.

hmmm...What else is out there? Will have to think on this.
Like they say in the audio world if you are going to make a change with something in your system don't go lateral go in a complete 90 degree turn...hahahah

    Hybrid or electric maybe? :boink:

edit: or....keep the 4R and put some sliders with filler plates. My other half had the same issue, short - couldn't reach well. The sliders helped a ton to get the kids in there. I would still like to add filler plates to the back half of them for the kids, (dog), etc.

I agree, we sorta gotta change the game if we are going to get rid of the 4runner. The thing is in great shape and no reason to ditch it. And I did put the steps on! Not even sliders, just straight up mall crawlers, and she still struggles

I'd be up for hybrid, not electric though because this is our "family trip" vehicle too, and I don't have enough confidence in the charging system and don't want to wait hours with dogs and kids in the car, just not something that sounds appealing AT ALL. Hybrid would be cool though, just the added costs isn't appealing, but with bidens oil back at a million a can, might actually make that back in a year or two...:annoyed:

Shes just getting up now, have to have her do some looking and narrow things down. The volvo is at the extreme high end of what I would be willing to spend, and you are right, in 3-5 years...whats that all gonna cost.

Wife has expensive taste lets just say, even when there aren't price tags to see, its like an instinct to find the most expensive option :bananadead:

Hey! That thing goes at 4.5mph at full speed in rabbit mode, give it some respect doc! :duh:

They never picked it up, so I might have it all weekend, in which case I'll roll all my trails and my driveway. I did some of the trails yesterday lol It was pretty funny, but did help in some spots!
