Back to a Tacoma now after having sold my 99 manual OR back to Toyota some time back for the frame rot issue, but I loved that truck. Just picked up a 14 DC OR, and after setting in for a short time I notice the rear suspension hits hard. I mean like I can take a speed bump at a moderate speed (20-25?) and the front takes it easily but the rear slams like it is bottoming. Ok I know the suspension is a weak point so I go to confirm if there are marks from the bump stops, and look at the leaf pack. Instead of the stock bump stop, I see this item pictured below. Can anybody identify what I have here? Looks like an airbag system, unknown make, has lines going to schrader valves at the bumper. Never had a setup like this before, this is new to me.
Question is, does the way the suspension hits mean this is trash or just not working?
Appreciate any help you guys can provide.

Firestone W217602407 comes up when you run the part number in the picture.

I don’t see how these would make your suspension hit hard though?
