Well, I've owned the old girl for 16 years now and as much as it's a part of the family, it's time to let her go.

    Base truck
1996 Tacoma, green exterior, tan interior, V6, 5MT, power windows/door locks, cruise, A/C. 218K miles. $13,500.00 Clean title in hand. Located in Bardstown, KY.

    Modifications
    Engine
: Remanufactured 5VZFE 55K miles, custom fabricated intake box with functional hood scoop, K&N filter, Airaid intake tube, JBA headers, high flow cat, 2.5" full exhaust with 12" Vibrant resonator, Borla muffler, chopped at axle, LCE light weight crank pulley, injectors cleaned and flow matched by Mr. Injector, oil filer relocation, new OEM coil packs have 8K miles on them. Included but not installed: Solid Offroad engine mounts, FIC6 with URD plug n play harness, '97 ECM for boosted engines, Volvo MAF. I use my truck as my daily, hauling tools and supplies to and from work. I haven't had so much as a hiccup from this engine in the 4 years since it was installed and wouldn't hesitate to take it cross country tomorrow. The engine is ready for a super charger without the need of any other parts (which was my plan, but plans change).
Transmission: Original 5MT. LCE street clutch kit, LCE short throw shifter, 4Xinnovations solid trans mount, all have 30K on them.
Suspension/axles: ECGS built diffs with 4:88 gears, Harrop E-locker in rear. Front suspension was completely rebuilt with SPC UCAs, Whiteline bushings, spindle gussets, OME shocks with 883 coil, Durobumps, OEM ball joints, OEM wheel bearings, OEM cam tabs, Tundra brakes, sway bar removed. Rear suspension has Dakar leaves, 2nd gen OME shocks used for shock relocation (allows for 10" stroke), OEM wheel bearings (I broke the drivers side axle last spring and threw in a junkyard replacement to get me back on the road), frame plates, all have 30K miles. Pro Comp 89 series wheels with 285/75/16 Duratracs. Included but not installed: chromoly rear axles with bearings/seals, axle press tool, Durobump front differential mounts, 2 extra front axles, willwood brake controller for rear.
Body: Exterior: Bushwacker flares, bed lined rocker panels, functional hood scoop, Mpulse topper, Satoshi grill,Rampage headlight replacement, turn signal relocation, '00-'04 mirrors with turn signals, firewall tubed for 35s, platform in bed with space for plastic storage bins underneath, stickers. The body is in pretty good shape given it's age and the fact that it's used offroad, with a few flagrant exceptions. The bed rails have a good bit of surface rust and there is a hole in the floor of the bed by the passenger side wheel well big enough to put your hand through, both of which were caused by the factory drop in bed liner. I patched the hole with fiberglass over a decade ago and haven't had a problem with it since. There is also a silver dollar sized chip in the paint at the corner of the cab which I did putting the topper on last winter. Interior: Kenwood head unit/speakers, sound deadening, Uniden CB in ashtray, Honda Accord seat swap (very comfortable), heated seats, Ultraguage, AEM wideband, switches for front and rear bumper lights in OEM clock location, wood knobs for trans and T-case (I have the originals too), '00-'04 center console, rear jump seats removed and storage compartment built, little green Yoda is super glued to the dash, cheap seat covers, lots of paracord. The interior is in great shape except for a crack forming on the driver's side arm rest.
Armor: High clearance front bumper with Bad(ass)lands winch, high clearance rear bumper with swing-out and hidden hitch receiver, sliders with kick-out (all designed and built by me), Bud Built front, mid, and T-case skids, Low Range Offroad gas tank skid.
The Rundown: I've replaced everything that has gone out with OEM parts, and I also have parts that are bound to fail at some point such as: fuel pump, T-case output shaft seals, seems like a few other things as well but I'll have to dig around in the garage to get a complete list. Needless to say, anything I have that belongs with the truck is included. The CB and locker are wired up and function properly, but I recently bought a Blue seas fuse block to replace the rat's nest. So, the bumper lights and heated seats need relays and to be wired up. Also, the winch really needs a cut-off switch. I had to replace a U-joint last summer, which might indicate that others will go out soon. And lastly, the A/C blows cool. I replaced the drier and the hard lines last summer because it had a leak in the system. I'm happy to report that it is leak free for a year now, but I suspect the fact that I didn't have the system professionally evacuated and refilled is the reason it doesn't actually blow cold.

The truck is now just sitting, as I have moved on to a 3rd gen, but I drive it once a week to keep everything lubricated and because it's just so much fun to drive.

I will add pictures in the next post.

    Good question
For me, the most direct way to WV is on hwy 64. So half way (depending on your location) would be somewhere along that route.
