I just recently bought my 2008 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road SR5 and I want to replace the head unit with something that has Bluetooth capability so I don't have to listen to the goddam radio anymore, especially since my new job will be an hour commute both ways. I don't need anything real fancy (I could go without a touchscreen) but I would like it to be better than stock without breaking the bank and is simple plug-and-play. What do you recommend? Any brands or models I should steer clear from? Other things to keep in mind? Anything helps, Thanks!

Is your head unit fully functional, and do you care for the look of it? If so then I would recommend just buying a Bluetooth transmitter. It basically creates a mini radio station that bridges your phone and your car stereo. It hooks up into the 12v outlet, and you'll only need to pair it to your phone's Bluetooth once (it connects automatically after that). You'll need to find an empty radio frequency, and set both the transmitter and radio to that. Its very simple, cheap (a good shouldn't be any more than $20), and doesn't require any removal or installation.
