New to Tacoma, not new to Toyota. I got this a few weeks ago after I got tired of fixing a Ford F150. I've owned 2 Tundras in the past and hope this is as reliable as those were. I'm in northeastern NC, close to the coast, and do a lot of camping and kayaking with my family during my personal time. I have been cruising the forum for a couple of days and have already got a ton of useful info. I hope that I can contribute once I get my Taco legs under me. Looking forward to talking with you guys and gals.

Nice! If you go beachside a lot, look into fluid filming the underside. Welcome!

Thanks for the tip. Never heard of fluid filming. I'll look it up. Ride Oregon Inlet and Rodanthe occasionally. Stay out of the surf when riding the beach. Usually wash the under carriage pretty good when I get back home. Has worked in the past. Usually have a more difficult time getting all of the sand out of the truck when I'm done.

I definitely don't need help spending $. I've already been checking out lifts, bed racks, roof top tents, front bumpers... oh my! As far as beer and whiskey, necessities are counted as operating costs like gas and insurance and shouldn't be counted against hobby allowance.

Thanks for giving me a heads-up on local meets. I'll be sure and check out what's going on in those threads.
