Same here! Just got a '19 a couple of weeks ago. Went from wanting spacers and blocks, to 5100/OME, to Icon stage 4 in a matter of days. My only other experience has been Z71 bodylift and shocks. Thanks TW!!!!

Trimming the rear upper shock mount cup...

What do you guys recommend for the best and easiest way to do this. Tools n such. Then I'm going to sand it down and paint so it doesn't rust

Yeah I'm going to angle grinder it. Seems like the best option. Then sand and paint it to prevent rust.

I'm pretty much a stage 4. icon front and rear with reservoirs, a full icon leaf pack, and icon DJ UCA.

Did you ever do a 2nd write up on the rears? I just did the Icon stage 4 on my 2013, thanks for the awesome write up on the fronts. I saw a post on TW from a guy who had issues and Icon wouldn't waranty due to incorrect install. I am no mechanic, and am looking for validation on my install. Can you message me a pic of your rear scocks installed?

    We are installing your 58735 coilovers with reservoir and 58450DJ tubular UCA Delta Joint in a 2018 Tacoma. A couple of questions;

    1. The provided nyloc bolts don't seem to have the same thread cut as the Toyota Hinge bolt (UCA). Is this a regular problem? I didn't try to force the ICON nut onto the OEM hinge bolt. I assume it should be okay to use the OEM bolt on the OEM bolt
    2. The UCA part kit included two small ( one each with the hinge bolt nut package) zirc fittings but it appears we need two each UCA?
    3. I assume we should grease the UCA upper bushings through the zirc fittings. We manually lubed the bushings as described on the instruction set.
    4. Does the Delta Joint need to be greased before use, or was it factory greased.
    5. What are the ICON service intervals and procedures for this (as well as the AAL, and rear shocks)?

I got my stage 4 installed and reached out to Icon. I sent them pictures and they validated my install as done correctly. I love the ride! I kept the factory adjustment on the coilovers for now. I've only put a few thousand miles on them but so far so good!

My reply post was meamt more fir the Icon vendor rep, but appreciate your input. The OP posted an excellent how to that helped a lot. Big differemce was he used the adjustable UCA and we used the tubular UCS.

    1. The nyloc but turned out to be for the tubular UCA to spindle bolt.
    2. There were four other zirc fitting that did actually thread on correctly, although that was not immediately obvious. The two small zirc fittings seem to be for later greasing of the delta joint.
    3. Greased the upper hing bolt fittings with the provided zirc fittings ( one for each arm of the UCA.
    4. We did not grease the delta joint as it appeared to be sealed at factory. The two smaller zirc fittings apear to be for later servicing, but we want @icon6669 to confirm.

Grease the Delta joint. The directions that came with mine states this.
The zirc that came installed in the DJ uses a needle fitting for your grease gun and allows the dust cover to fit. The other is a normal zirc and will not allow the dust cover to seat. The dust cover is an optional item and does not come with the UCA's.

Hey are folks who have the extended travel front coil-overs plus the AAL in the back running the front coils on the maximum 2.13" of preload on the shock? When the coilovers arrived they were sitting at 1.25." I've since increased it 2.125." the reason i'm asking is if anyone has noticed what this does with the AAL to the over-all level of the truck. It appears as though 2.125" preload + the AAL (and removal of the stock overload spring) causes the truck to be just about level. Is that what others have found? Curious what level of shock adjustment folks are running. Cheers.
