Ive had problems with both my 2nd gen and my '19 with the rubber strips on the roof coming partway off. On the '09, it was tree branches in the orchard so I ended up glueing them down. Now the 3rd gen, just wind does it. Whether a stiff wind, or the blow drier on the touchless carwash. Hate to glue that one down if there is a better remedy. What purpose do those even serve anyway? Is it just looks or some kind of water channel?

This sounds very odd to me. Do you live in an area with heavy sun and is your truck ungaraged most of the time.

    Wut?
Are you referring to the roof as the hood?

A friend with an ‘18 lost his on the highway.
Dealer replaced them under warranty and he’s not had an issue since.
    Call your dealer.

Or, unless you plan to install a roof rack, glue them down.

Shoot, mine have been loose for 5 years and 80,000 miles. Haven't lost them yet, but I can easily put my finger on them and they push down into the roof.

Specifically on the back end, they don't fly up on the front, luckily. Perhaps I should go glue those down, but if they haven't come off in 80 MPH interstate driving with a headwind from a Midwest storm (maybe 130 MPH wind speed, who knows). Then I guess they'll stay put.

This is what we're talking about, at least that's about where mine get loose on the back end. Didn't have a pic handy but this works.

They are just held on with a small clip at the end and then double sided tape sections in the middle. I’d pull it off and clean it well, then try some 3m double sided tape.

How permanent do you want the rubber strips on there? https://www.amazon.com/3M-08609-Window-Weld-Urethane-Cartridge/dp/B000FW61EW/

yeah mine comes off all the time. Im installing a roof rack either tomorrow or wednesday so that'll probably eliminate the issue
