Seat cover is confusing to the brand loyalists.

 

Changed the hydraulic fluid and filter on my B4200 the other day. The fluid looked like something a catfish would live in, and I'm not sure on the filter. Tractor is 87-96, probably closer to the 87, and has 535 hrs., Fluid and filter might be originals lol.

 

Got the fork frame done for my friend. Another friend gave me some forks for it, I swapped them with mine. Mine were 44” and sometimes too short. The new ones are 60”.

Driveway isn't level and the rear tire is on a small slope, lol.

 

Yeah, I knew you'd built it square from the other pictures, which was why that one was messing with me.

How’s that zero turn on slopes? I have a nice drop off in my back yard and am concerned a zero turn wouldn’t be able to make it back up.

In any case, heading about an hour and a half south today to check them out at my nearest Kubota dealer.

Thinking due to the slope and other irregularities, the 42” deck would be best. I have about a half acre I’ve been doing with a walk behind for years but it takes an hour and a half every time I cut it.

 

Only slope we do is around a pond and I just lean into the slope.... no more awkward than it is to mow with one of the diesels ..... slow and steady around it most of what gets cut is flat.

 

Bought this off CL 200.00... gave it to brother joe for all his mowing duties... calls me up and says it only run for 10 minutes.... starts right up though :-/. Has auto choke and thought maybe BUT when my kid removed the carb... gunked up.... no biggie. Cleaned her up and mowed for 18 minutes and ran perfect... easy peasy it was and no parts needed. We shall see what happens once joe gets his hands on it again In the mean time I had dropped off the 2 mowers I got from a fellow member to keep him mowing. I enjoy working on small engine stuff when I have FREE time.... beer and fixin... one of my favorite things....

 

I dropped the fork frame off at powdercoat Thursday afternoon, they painted it yesterday. I’ll get it next week and deliver it. Hopefully it fits

 

The B6100 got new sneakers, old ones had seen better days and no longer held air. I have some kubota color paint I can color match the wheels another day, but she’s functional again.

 

Bridgestones? Original tires, wow. I have my OG turfs, but OG AG's seems more impressive. Where did you get the rims and tires? I had a heck of a time find proper sized tires for the 4WD ratio on my tractor. I imagine yours is very similar to mine.

 

Yep, Bridgestones and they were indeed original. Rims were from a fellow on eBay, I found the original Kubota PN for the B6100 rear wheel which was 33500-4903 and has apparently been superseded by 70000-00028

the original Ag tires were 7-16, I went to a local shop and they were able to get a new set for me for a decent price

Got around to moving more stones I’ve been pulling out of the yard.


Saturday I got my oldest to operate the glorified wheel barrow.


Popped the lid on the septic tank for the quarterly filter cleaning. Beats lifting by hand.

 

Finished up building my fabrication table. Should work very nice for working on zero turn projects.
