It’s funny man. I came here mostly to get help with finding what size wheels and tires along with a 3 inch lift I could use on my SR5. I thought for sure with millions of Tacomas out there all this information would be perfected by now. And what better place to find out all this wealth of knowledge but a forum dedicated to the platform. However asking my questions in multiple threads it seemed as though no one helped me or even knew. I ended up doing at least 10 hours of research or more to figure out everything myself. It’s been a very painful and frustrating experience. Now I am helping someone. That’s pretty cool.

You're not getting tons of responses because this exact question gets asked several times a week and most people are sick of giving the same advice over and over. Use the search function and there are thousands of posts about wheel width, tire width, and lifting.

Of course I used the search function. Most of the answers I saw were all over the place anyway. And there’s literally dozens of different scenarios to cover. Besides what’s wrong with asking the same questions over and over again? I mean if you can discuss all the other topics that are discussed here that have nothing to do with Tacomas then there’s certainly nothing wrong with helping people that actually have questions about Tacomas. At least that’s the way I feel about it. I’m an expert at countermeasures/ radar detectors and laser jammers and I answer the same questions over and over again to newbies. It doesn’t bother me at all. About 90% of what I read in the search function about tires and wheels it seems like most people just winged it and either got lucky or didn’t. The ones that didn’t probably didn’t report back on what happened. It was a bit disappointing.
