Tacos in St. Louis area

Ive heard mixed reviews from others but I’ve always had great success with Firestone. They have stores everywhere and their lifetime alignment is inexpensive enough that it just makes sense to me.

Most shops won’t work on “lifted” vehicles because lifts include blocks and spacers that put factory suspension and driveline parts out of alignment. If you’ve got a typical Tacoma setup then you’re likely running a minimum of adjustable upper control arms and aftermarket coil overs in the front and heavy duty leafs and aftermarket shocks in the rear. If that’s the case then you do not have a lift, you have a “performance suspension”. This is important to remember when describing it to the service shop.

As to brakes I replaced the front rotors and pads with something a bit more aggressive to help reel it in as I was carrying a FlipPac and towing regularly. EBC slotted and dimpled rotors and their green stuff pads have been great for me.

As mentioned before there are some great shops in the area and we do have an extensive collection of knowledge, experience, and tools here in this thread with heaps of people who are willing to help.

That's not a surprise, heh. River spots are difficult to find. My goal is to never be in an 'established campground'. Easy out west w/ all the BLM land. And surprisingly not bad here in MO w/ all the forests.

What trim is your truck? The brake boosters on the Pros and Off Roads are different than the ones on the Sports and SR5s

I'd definitely take some national forest recommendations if you have a way to share them. I was out in the forest near Wilderness, MO last weekend.
