TACO GARAGE - Dashtop Multi Mount (DMM) CLEAN and SOLID Tacoma accessory mounting

I bought your DMM and installed it last weekend. Easy to install. Looks great. Now trying to configure uses for it. Added a wired Holder that i had for now. I would like to go the Magnet holder way, but does it mess up the wireless charging when at home ? Also thinking of rerouting my USB Data Port up thru the DMM. I have an Android phone so no wireless for Android Auto yet.

 

I did as much research as I possibly could about the wireless charging as well as other internals possibly being affected from such a strong magnet and as far as I can research, modern electronics are not adversely affected by magnetic fields like this. The wireless charging is basically a magnet so if it were sensitive to magnets it wouldn't really work for too long. Also I've been constantly using it and my phone and tablet are fine.

Just received and installed my dmm today. Easy install and turned out great.

 

My DMM looks to be out for delivery today! Can't wait to get this installed in the truck.

 

Just another +1 for the magnetic mount. My phone has not once fell off offroad and nailed me in the knee.

 

A shout out for Taco Garage customer service. I emailed them over the weekend about buying a replacement for the "Short and Stubby" 17mm ball mount. Mine cracked and even though superglue worked to fix it, I wanted to see if they were still stocking them. I received and email and shipping confirmation for a new one this morning.

They didn't charge me for it, which was not my plan so it's an unexpected bonus.

 

Nice to know about customer service. I bought a DMM from them. Buying more stuff in future.

Mine only took about a week or so to get to me; well worth the wait @disconnected . You won't be disappointed. Super easy to install and stable for what it is.

 

Ok, thanks. I received my shipping text yesterday. I’ve got two Hondo mounts now, these will replace them!

 

I actually tried to purchase the Hondo mount TWICE; both times secondhand and neither option ended up working out. In retrospect, I'm glad as I never would've purchased the DMM had those came in!

 

I followed Gillies66 build/mod/edit and OH MY what a great way to give it a ramp up!
Works like a charm.

I am now going to order some right angle USB connections to increase the low profile look.

Do you know when you will get iPad mounts back in stock?

 

If you are using a tablet I would highly suggest using the MEGA Mighty Mount, the big clamp works fine but it is very obtrusive when not in use, the Mega Mighty Magnet is strong enough to hold most ipads even OFF - ROAD! I have a video on our IG using it out in the desert with a 12.9" ipad pro
