I'm sure I'll catch hell for this... but I could never get my head around having "Turd" written on my truck and Skiing is more my thing than Off-Roading ;)

How hard was it to remove the original decal?

The decals aren't that bad, just carefully lift one corner, then slowly pull with the decal folded over in the direction you are pulling. Best to do it on a hot day. Now as for the residue left behind, *<%@~** That took a few hours, which felt like months!

I used alcohol, decal remover and some Goof Off, and yes I soaked them well, still a pain.

It was an impromptu, unofficial, inferno day at Damon Point, Ocean Shores, WA. Three infernos of about 20 vehicles! Love getting to see how someone has customized their inferno in person.

I have another color dilemma. I lost my D-ring shackle in the Black Rock Desert, probably from it unscrewing itself as it worked back n forth and probably just fell right out. Which makes me wonder if those rubber gaskets and other rubber thing are worth it?

I'm looking at the Smitty Built D-Ring (sold locally) because it uses a cotter pin, which seems better overall with matte powder coating to attach to my Rhino tow hitch receiver block thingy. So all black on the back with the chrome bumper, etc. BUT... UBUUUBUBUTTT.

There's an ORANGE ONE here (backordered, of course) https://www.relentlessfabrication.c...oducts/3-4-d-ring-shackle?variant=10054733636

AND a "Gecko Green" one at Rhino (also sold out, kill me now) https://www.rhinousainc.com/collections/bestsellers2/products/d-ring-shackles?variant=37678528790719

The lime green with the black accents would be in the triadic color scheme and match my traction boards (seen in profile pic) and black. I feel like the orange though would basically be THE rug of the back end.

I only put them on when I'm off roading so I allow myself to be a little louder. I use a Starfleet symbol tow hitch cover otherwise. So

    Black?
    Orange?
    Green?

Go with a generally muted color thats not flashy. They are going to get beat up or stolen. I went with unfinished since they are just used to hook up tow straps.

@MilkDud Worked with a guy on Etsy to design it. Not sure if he's still there though. I can't find his account there any more :(

You can try to search Etsy for "Truck Bed Decal Mountains" and see if anyone there is willing to customize what they already have. That's basically what I did. I wanted something other than TRD and wanted a Ski theme ;)

If I remember correctly, the guy only charged me like $16

Welp. So long boys. It’s official. I sold my inferno :anonymous:

I’ll still be lurkin around these parts since it’s still the best color for a Tacoma:D

upgraded my RWD SR5 for a TRDOR in BBP. I wonder how much it would cost to paint this one in inferno :spy:

With that being said, I now have an unused bottle of 4X0 touch up paint if anyone is interested.

I just ordered the second round of this. Nice color match and the clear coat works well.
