New here and have a question!

I picked up a 03' Tacoma 4X4 DCAB with TRD, SR5, and Convenience package and it looks like according to Toyota, this should have came with keyless entry with the Convenience Package. However, I only received a set of keys from the owner. He says that he was never given any remote by the previous owner.

I then pulled up the 2003 Tacoma brochure and under the Convenience Package, sure enough it doesn't mention it. So it seems like the data from the VIN search through Toyota does not match up with the brochure. Am I missing something here?

Is it possible that someone just lost the remote and that I can just buy a new remote and have the dealership reprogram it to work? Thanks in advance!

1st gen SR5 factory equips are unpredictable. If you have electronic door and windows get a fob and program it yourself.
