I caved, and made my appointment to get vaccinated.

Why did I cave you ask? Well... Wasn't really planning on getting the shot because to be honest, not really afraid of getting sick. I'm fairly healthy as far as I am aware, everyone around me and that I interact with a lot is as well, so didn't really see a need to get it. Plus when I am out & about I take all of the necessary measures to make sure that I am safe.

But after speaking with my father, he brought up a really good point. Being that I am Portuguese and still have family back home, plus my love for the soccer team that I follow from back home, I have full intentions of traveling there. My father said that he wouldn't be surprised if the vaccine was "mandatory" in order for us to be allowed to go there. Especially with how "bad" things were over there for a while, and sort of still are.

Taking that into consideration, I caved in and made my appointment. And no, the Mrs didn't force me to do it either. She always said it was up to me, and respected my decision not to get it. But alas, I listen to my father more than I do my wife.

Getting it Thursday 4/22 in the morning. Spots have been opening up here and there here in Brookfield, so got lucky and one opened up when I was looking. Getting Moderna.

 

Can't like this! If you cave to these restrictions they will just keep pushing them. FIGHT BACK.


But, its a very personal choice and to me, it should be a personal choice. If you want to be a recluse and live in a zombie world, that is your right. If you want to be free and not give in, that's also your choice.


edit: my comment is meant mainly for younger, healthy people. I tihnk old and at risk it can't hurt. But the amount of issues these things have had vs other vaccines and the fact it is still in trial and for emergency use only....99.9 percent chance you are fine without if you are younger and healthy. Literally makes no sense.

Good morning boys.

Got my 2nd dose yesterday. Sore joints and no energy today. Staying home from work.

I was on my way yesterday for the J&J vaccine when I got the call .......canceled. As you probably know problems with that vaccine. So that’s twice I have tried to get the shot . First time I got my date mixed up . I’m going to wait a few months now and see how things go for people who got vaccinated.

Yeah... believe me when I say I thought about it, A LOT. But the point my father made got me thinking... and I do want to go back home and visit. That to me was the major deciding factor. Don't want to take a chance and get "stuck" here when I either have to go there, or want to.

Took advantage of the cloudiness yesterday to finally clay bar the truck for the first time and it felt sooooo good. Now for 2 days of rain, but at least it’s done anybody ever do their own ceramic coat is it simple if super time consuming?

 

When can I drop mine off?

@Unchained 5150 does a ceramic coating on his if I remember correctly. His truck looks immaculate; was drooling over it at the 2019 tw bbq.

 

I do my friend thanks for the shout out and kind words. The product shown is what I use on the wheels, and I use Blackfire Ceramic Pro on the truck. Also did my guitar recently which is a 1979 Fender Stratocaster in flawless condition.

Though curious about the hair comment...

While not a travel thing, family is the main reason I chose to. As some of you know, my wife is high risk on several levels..one being immunosuppressed. My parents are older and have other issues that put them in the same category, and I don't want to risk their health even if I happen to be just a carrier and have to go help them.

Agreed, I feel everyone should weigh the risk/reward and do what's best for them and those very close by.

 

What are the CT beer laws on Sundays? I'm looking for a few specific beers (bottles) and it looks like one is in CT, I'm passing through either Friday night or Sunday mid day.

Had my second jab of Moderna Monday. Arm was sore yesterday and barely hurts today. No other side effects.
