My Silken would totally agree. From 6 months to 3 years... he's become a shedding monster.

my parents had a GSD named tasha when i was a little kid. one of my first memories ever was of the last kiss she gave me before my dad had to take her to be put down due to a tumor on her lip. i remember it vividly. i didnt understand the gravity of the situation at the time, but looking back it was obvious that she knew she wasnt coming back. that kiss will always stick with me.

It's so wonderful to see so many Tacoma World "brothers and sisters" love pets!, I didn't mention but our previous dog was a shepherd mixed was also a rescue. His name was Ares, we had him from 6 weeks till the end...15 years. On top of that 3 rescue cats...
    Thank you all!

damn man... am getting misty....I have 12 of those in my life. That is the worst, but i was there for all but the first one when they passed. A very, very heavy moment to be a part of for sure...our first Siberian Husky jumped the fence, and got out. He was hit later on that day by one of the other veteranarians at the place we went to. The dog jumped out into traffic from in between 2 houses. The Vet was soooo broken up as were we.

awesome!! All of our dogs and cats have been rescues. We actually took one GSD and one of the huskies from the abusers in the middle of the night. Vrept in with bolt cutters, cut the chain, outta there. It was all I could do to not set the house on fire...my GF at the time was a Veterenarian, so she had been tipped off by another client about the situation.

in that case, the GSD weighed close to 15lbs and could barely stand. The husky had around 22 bb's/pellets in him between his head, back and legs. It still infuriates me as I am typing this what those turds did to those dogs....

Awesome doggie. Keep her busy and she'll be super happy. Also, rescues are the best. Luna says Hi.

The best thing I’ve done for my dogs was switch to a raw diet. Have you seen the show on Netflix “Pet FOOleD”?

Congratulations, OP. She’s a pretty lady and lucky to have found you. I’ve always admired German Shepherds, but being a ridge runner, I’ve always gravitated towards the hounds. I’m a sucker for Redbone Coonhounds. However, my daughter has been asking for a German Shepherd. Maybe one day! EE5EBCA5-BEDB-4353-9899-B0D8A45B9311.jpgFD8AA819-63EB-40D7-B4FE-AC2284C0142C.jpg
