Hi all, hope all is well tonight,

I am doing a build on my 2021 Tacoma XP. It came with the TRD Pro 16” 265/70r16. They have a 13mm offset. I want to go to a 285/75r16. The truck has a 3/2 spacer level kit right now. (I had originally leased this and only drive it 100 miles a month. Lift was for looks only) I will probably go to an icon or fabtech lift.

Anyway, I have read lots. It is 50/50 with some say no mod to do the 33” and some say cmc and plastic trim to fit. I see more saying will fit with no issues but not convinced.

Anyone reading have experience with this set up? Will the offset and lift be enough to run the 33” street only? If not I may be changing rims. I will not do a spacer on the wheels. If I up the offset, would that help?

    Thanks for helping.

Your best bet is to get in there, get some measurements, then go look at wheel/tire specs. Tire manufactures are all over the place with actual vs advertised sizes.

I would measure the space between the spindle and the wheel/tire. See how much space you have and go from searching from there. I'm not sure how many actual 33 setups are out there without a cmc and minor plastic trimming.
