    Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a 2010 TRD offroad. I went to have it inspected and come to find out that the frame has holes in it due to rust with less than 150k on the truck. I took it to my local dealership, was told it qualifies for the replacement and sent the request to corporate. The request was then denied. I have asked to appeal the request. Currently weighing my options given this less than ideal situation.

Any advice on the claim denial or other options to consider?

You should have 12 years from date of first service. My 2010 was purchased in August of 2009, so I should be covered until this August.

You are close, but I’d think the 2010 model years weren’t released to dealers until June or July 2009 at the earliest.

Do you have any paperwork regarding the date the truck was originally purchased?

The other question I’d have is how recently did you purchase the truck and from where? I’d return the truck and let the seller deal with it if I could.

I will have to look at the paperwork I got with it. I am not exactly sure why the claim was denied but it is likely that I am close on the date.
