2020 Tacoma’s the last year you can get one made in the USA

Last chance to get a Tacoma made in the USA all will be made for 2021 model years look for the 5 in the beginning of the vin that’s USA 3 is Mexico FYi

Lots of posts on this already, and there's still some Tacomas made in USA for 2021.

 

Nope only some 2020 models left made in the USA Texas all 2021 model years will be made in Mexico fact Toyota announced it. FYi is why I went out & looked for the 5 in the vin so many with the 3 already made in Mexico ones out there

 

I still don’t understand the big upset between buying a Japanese truck made in the US or a Japanese truck made in Mexico when both are built with the exact same parts...

 

Well the original idea was Not all imports come in as complete vehicles from Japan Sam had to be made & built here in the USA to give USA workers jobs from parts suppliers to assembly and distribution of parts they closed the Califorina numi plant & moved them to Texas along side of the tundras now they are moving all Tacoma’s again to Mexico not helping USA workers building them is it.

Thank you I have been trying to get the factory oem bed cover for a access cab long bed I like the style & look of it but can only get one if ordering a new one online so only way is finding one used on a Tacoma Someone doesn’t want

 

I haven’t looked but I am assuming other Toyota models will be made here, correct??

The tundra & the sequoia will now be built at the Texas plant nothing wrong with it being built in Mexico it’s still a Toyota in the END only pointing out last chance for a USA made one just like in 2009 i got the last year Tacoma was made in freemont Califorina USA it’s like a collectors item

 

Mexico Made Tacoma. Wherever they are made doesn't matter To me. Imo great truck.

 

Welcome to TW! I'd actually prefer if they made/assembled the Tacomas in Japan.

 

Yes that is what I said as my first choice they didn’t have any problems when all were imported from Japan 2nd choice was here in the USA to keep USA auto workers jobs but it caused more recalls in having them built here for sure some of that I believe is the people who help build them here may not like a Japanese brand & not put as much care into them being built in the Midwest or south now all the Tacoma’s will be built in Mexico we know why cheaper labor cost & that comes with cost in your product in my opinion.
