This is typically an annual offering. Last year, you could get $12 off up to 4, 5 quart jugs. This year, you can only get rebates on 2, 5 quart jugs.

In store, my Wally World sells Mobile 1 for $22.88. I got 2 ($10 back for each) which netted my out of pocket for 2 jugs (10 quarts) to just about $25. An outstanding value for full synthetic oil.

Unbelievable. thx for posting. I have some of the non-recalled but I've already replaced them with a double locking set from elsewhere. Glad to know I can take these old ones back ... Crazy! I'm pretty sure this is the last tool in the bag I want to fail. Reading the thread I'll at least give them credit for taking them back even if the newer ones are passing their tests -- good on them for that.

"Smidt says the company has taken the time to investigate all of the other three- , six- and 12-ton Pittsburgh jack stands it currently sells, and hasn't found any further defects. However, if you own any of these Pittsburgh jack stands and no longer feel comfortable using them, the company will take them back in exchange for a refund or store credit—even though they aren't covered by the recall and have not been found to be defective"

Quick question: I heard from a friend that is a lead technician at a Toyota dealership in the SF Bay Area and he said that he wouldn't recommend draining/ changing the transmission fluid because the Tacomas are a sealed transmission. Doing so might cause more problems than just leaving it alone and he's never seen a Tacoma transmission fail. Does this sound right?

I would say most of the issues people face when doing trans work is that they dont follow the directions properly and end up with the wrong level of ATF in the trans.

Awesome. This post helps me so much with my 2nd gen. Would like to start doing this kind of maintenance on my wifes 5th gen 4runner(her toyota free service is finally running out). Any one know if there's something like this anywhere? I looked through the 4runners.com forum with no luck.

Superb post! Very helpful as I get my 2014 back onto it's maintenance schedule. Question: Is anyone having problems finding the pdf link for this? Would love to keep this in my glove box.
