Help Taco people: what do I do know?
My Tacoma has some dash warnings , and I had the codes read,
two pics of codes read ~>
    -P0333 (10 of 12) permanent
    -P0343 (1 of 12) stored
-And third pic of dash lights- (check engine, Trac off, maint reqd)
The Trac off wont turn off, on a single push or hold push of button
    (per manual)

Take a solid look at your engine with a flash light, look in the valley of the V in the middle of the engine. If I see these codes I check for mice as a first step.

Yes, squirrels and mice around, there were peanut shells and debris on top of engine cover, It was hard to start, turning over, but like starved for fuel. Started ok today. There are so many other options for mice and squirrels to get plastic etc around here. Maybe the little a holes did it . What now? Who do I take it to? Are auto electricians still around? The dealer? (scary) only 31,000 miles on a 2014. was hoping to avoid issues for a while longer.......I am in Lake Oswego Oregon (Portland metro area) if anyone knows of a shop in my area

    Squirrels are not the culprit.

Contact Your Insurance Company before you do anything else. They may cover the damage.

I had mice get into our 2019 Jeep Cherokee last spring. $5000 dollars damage and the insurance paid every penny. If you have comprehensive it should be covered.

Definitely a rodent problem been in the same spot. Easy fix . The dealer will charge you about 600 to splice the wire harness back to get her or do it yourself for a couple of bucks.

Yes, on the comprehensive coverage, looks like they will cover it, $100 deductible.

0K, my Tacoma is home and all fixed up. Wiring was chewed, sensors detached. It was all properly repaired, and a new wiring harness was not needed. I was told that item is on a national backorder, with no date available. There was concern the motor might have to come out. Thankfully it wasn't necessary. I paid $100 deductible, the total bill was $1601.00. I almost dropped the comprehensive a few months ago.....Shout out to Caliber Collision here in Lake Oswego Oregon. They were recommended by insurance company (AAA ins through Mapfre/Commerce West ins.) Calibers mechanic handled the repair, their customer service was great, the inside staff handled the ins company. Fast and professional, but still friendly and easygoing.
