Hoping it comes together nicely in the end. I didn't anticipate changing the wheels and my wildpeaks out at 32k miles but they're already at 4/32

About 9 months ago I purchased a set of ADS CO with resis and compression clickers. These shocks are amazing and by far the best shock I have ever run. Unfortunately, the resi hose configuration they came with exposed that hose to rubbing from the 285/75-16 tire in tight turns and trail conditions.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. I took the truck to Matt at MCM Fab in Las Vegas where I had made the original purchase. Matt completely disassembled the shocks and fitted brand new hoses, with the correct configuration. And did not charge me a dime for his 3 hours of efforts.

We both agreed that this is how they should have come originally from ADS and he assures me that his findings will be passed along to ADS so all CO w/clickers intended for 1st gens will be configured this way going forward.

I want to give a big shout out of thanks to Matt. He took care of me and made it right.

anyone know what size speedo gear will work best with 33s and 4.10s? planning on doing my T-case, tranny, and diff fluid in the next couple weeks and want to order a new gear to get my speedometer back to where it's supposed to be. I am thinking 30 tooth.

Ha! You are right of course. With this setup I can now go fast enough to easily break something.

FWIW, I have another set of spindles and a set of TC gussets to put on them. It is on the to-do list.

I'm sure you can get yours setup this way. I can't recall who you purchased from.

 

Someone just posted a week or so a go with a broken spindle right at the top. Seen that several times now

I visibly bent one.

Been beating on it with gussets for 5 years and zero issues. It's the first thing I would gusset at this point.

 

I'm sure they bend and break off all the time, it's not a great design. But I also don't think that flimsy piece of steel welded on does a whole hell of a lot either, if you're generating enough force to bend the top of the spindle you're doing the same to that small piece of bent sheet metal too. The top of the spindle isn't supposed to bear much weight, wonder what people are doing to put that kinda force on em anyway. Like I said, they're great for increased confidence if nothing else haha

BTW I'm not opposed to gusseting the spindles, I just don't think the product on the market that we have is good enough to be worth the work

 

I don't know, in the meantime I've cracked and bent and broken all sorts of other things, but the spindles are fine.

I would rather not be stranded with a broke or bent spindle when a $40 gusset seems to do the trick.

Meh I'd disagree. The gusset removes a lot of the deflection that can happen based on the spindles already awkward design. The top basically can act as a big pivot point and with a vertical strength added to both front to back and left to right, it almost boxes the spindle arm 3/4 of the way.
