Tacoma tick.

2016 tacoma limited,

The ticking noise I am aware if. But there is a specific knock like metal on metal that keeps getting louder in that same are where the injectors are. Not sure if its related and normal. Truck has 80k and is still in my warranty. Should I worry or just get used to it?

 

Might be a rod knocking, I’d get it checked out.

 

Lifters is what Toyota mechanics say.

Play around with the gas pedal by putting truck in about 2300-2600 rpm floating back and forth. See if it makes that noise

 

Its at the dealer as we speak. But ive read so many people talking about how toyota is saying some of this is NORMAL. Im getting prepared for their reply.
