Will 2018 WeatherTechs fit in a 2016?

Toyota removed the passenger floor mat clips from the 2016-17 so the WeatherTechs slide a bit when getting in and out. I’d like to order the clips, install them and then order 2018 mats with the holes them.

Does anyone know if the 18 floor mats will fit in a 2016? Maybe if someone upgraded from a 16-17 into a 2018+ and transferred over their mats.

In my research, I noticed that the part number on the 16-17 clips are different from the 18-20 so I wanted to check.

You could mod your existing mats to have clips. There are a few options out there.

I have the Toyota mats and just installed some snaps after I saw that someone else did. It has been at treat not moving that mat back into place.






Otherwise, there has been no changes where a 2018+ mat wouldn't fit a 2016 / 2017.
