I'm considering dual batteries for my 2019 Sport. On this trim level, the location normally reserved for the 2nd battery is occcupied by the ABS actuator/pump. Placing two batteries in the stock location has a couple of downsides, which takes it off the table for me. If the washer reservoir tank could be relocated, moving the PS rezi will be a cinch... and a proper location for the second battery will exist.

This may be accomplished by installing the washer reservoir tank from a 200 Series Land Cruiser. It mounts up inside the left fender well, and has a fill port that pokes into engine bay by the battery. While this project is not completely worked out, things look good at this point... the reservoir will fit up in the fender well on the Tacoma.

    Location on LC 200.

    It fits.

The reservoir tank 85355-60180 is available for $118 retail US, and many dealers will sell it as low as $80. The fill port is 85301-60060 @ a little over $40. Now that sounds a bit expensive, until one realizes that the assembly comes with two washer pumps (front/rear windows) and a low level sensor. There is also a port for the headlight washer pump, and various harnesses and fluid hoses.

While removing the stock tank, I noticed the harness for Canada spec low level sensor is present. Perhaps those that desire this option in the USA can add it a bit more easily than initially thought? It's required (IMO) when the reservoir tank is buried, which is why it's nice to have it included on the LC 200 part.

With up to three pumps, not only do we get the windshield washer, but a headlight washer system also become a possibility. Even something for the hardcore go fast guys is possible... an intercooler water spray.

Now to get back at it.

Low level sensor cannot be added. USA gauge clusters do not have the necessary warning lights/messages.
I bought the sensor hoping it would be that easy, but nope.

Thank you, sir. Someday I'll have to add that.
