Inspired by this thread, I replaced all my garage bulbs with GE LED 5000K bulbs. So, there's that.

 

how do you like the colour of the light ?

 

I like the COLOR just fine.

Seriously, though, it's perfect for garage/shop work. But I have standard fare fixtures, so my problem is more about not enough light and spreading it out evenly. That, and too much crap in my garage. *sigh*

Finished separating the timbers I intend to use on my next client build from the pile so they would be on top when I moved the lot into the outside storage area and was about to start moving timbers in when I realized that I never replaced the galvanized place saver bolts in the bottom of my post connections with the stainless redi rod bolts that will be the finished product and that once the timbers were moved in I wouldn't be able to do the bolt swap without moving timbers out of the way so spent a couple hours this afternoon making the bolts

I'll swap them in tomorrow then I can move the timbers in

 

Just realized I didn't post pics in this thread that my timber stash is moved back to the shop , thats what is going under the outside overhang area

My stash is small, just vertical grain free of knots western red cedar consisting of 1x10x12s and 2x6x14s.

 

A wee bit heavy to move if that's Fir!
Small gold mine at today's lumber prices.

 

I've already moved it all by hand twice by myself

 

Isn't cedar also a natural pest repellant? Or am I thinking of something else? Love the smell of Cedar.

 

Highly recommend anti seize on those stainless nuts and bolts. Stuff galls like there's no tomorrow.
