Sway Bar After Lift

Hey everyone, I recently had a 4x4 shop install my 5100 / OME 884 lift. After install, I’m pretty positive my driver side of my sway bar is rubbing against my coil when going over small bumps in the road and whatnot, causing a “squeak” when this happens. I found this to be somewhat normal after lifting, and I’ve ordered a sway bar relocation kit.

What I’m scratching my head at is the fact that my driver side of my sway bar is basically touching my coil and the passenger side is spaced away. I couldn’t find any threads in a quick search showing this, anyone have any idea if this is normal? Why would one side have so much space and the other almost none?

 

Could just be variance from the factory or just wear and tear on components. The sway bar mounts can be moved a bit in stock form if loosened. If it looks like you're making contact or too close for comfort then you can move the swaybar mounts forward with relocation mounts. Here's a quick cheap set, but there are many brands and the price can go up to $40

I just ordered a kit from Toytec.. should be here next week!

Do you think this could be resolved by the sway bar relocation kit I ordered? Should I just install driver and not passenger or would that cause issues?

 

When you put on the relocation kit, center your sway bar. Probably will have to move the aluminum crush rings.

 

Pardon me, I missed where you already ordered one lol and it'll definitely give the swaybar and coilovers more breathing room. Install both, not just one. Hopefully this will resolve any noises you were experiencing
