Seems every time i past this one home on this particular road my truck starts beeping till i'm past it, otherwise it never does. Wtf is going on? This reminds me of the old radar detector days when you'd past certain buildings, and get false alerts.

Do you have Lane departure alert? Try turning it off on that section of road.

I'm willing to bet thats it, but why is a house set 100' back off the road triggering this? Otherwise nothing but a empty grass lawn.

I turned my lane departure off pretty quickly after buying the truck. The thing would go off at the oddest times was pretty annoying.

I'm still curious wtf in that house can be triggering it to go off? An empty grass lot shouldn't. Otherwise it only beeps when it would normally need to. At any rate i'll disable again.

It's probably something about the road in that area and nothing to do with a house.

These systems are still kind of new and unpredictable

My wife's old Subaru would auto brake and beep at its own shadow so things could always be worse lol

Can't be the road...its always that same spot with a house located on a fairly straight-a-away. This road is all the same for miles with just a few houses. Wondering if it could be some sort of wi-fi boosted frequency interfering with the sensor in this truck?.

For me there was a tree on the way to work that would fire off the BRAKE! Emergency flash. I think it has something to do with the shadow on the road. It was about 50/50 if I would get that alert.

I have a secondary road I travel frequently that has a long tire groove in the blacktop that would trigger my land departure alert. Like others I deleted it.

You tried adjusting the sensitivity on it? I've got mine where I basically feel the deflectors embedded in the road before mine starts to beep at me.

I guess it's possible. The lane departure uses optical sensors so I don't think EFI would trigger that but things like shadows, road surface texture changes, etc can be enough to trigger a warning. A false positive warning is safer than a failure to warn. If it's the TSS system, maybe its EFI related. You never said what alert was being triggered.

Right. Is the truck yelling at you to brake, or is it just beeping (and maybe a flashing orange icon for your lane departure alert). Are you going over 31 MPH during this time?

I don't even know myself what system is doing the beeping. I'm going 50 mph by this one yard with about 150-200 feet of yard frontage, i get a series of quick beeps, and then when past, nothing the rest of the time driving.
