Hello, Im installing a 6.5 in maxtrac lift with the 4 inch blocks and 2.5 inch strut spacers. My install shop swears we can keep my 16 inch rims but I've read many differing views on this. Can someone help me out with clarification.

I literally just bought a set of 4 vision wheels 16x8 0 offset wheels and am running a 265/70/16 kumho set on them. I am going to upgrade to 17 in wheels in January but would like to at least get some life out of the money I just spent on the current tire and wheel package.

Anybody actually know if this is going to be an issue?

Who is your installer.... 4 wheel auto parts?
    Why such a big lift?
Afaik, maxtrac only makes a 4 inch spindle lift for our prerunners.....

    Jacado,
I think I got your advice on this lift before. I bought the 6.5 inch lift and prepaid half labor. I was very nervous about it and how it would affect my truck. I called my shop trying to cancel only to be told no can do, no refunds. So I'm going to have it installed and upgrade tires and wheels down the line.

Im in San Antonio, Texas installers is Top Notch Wheels, Lifts and more.

    Maybe.... can't recall...
But, here is a link to the Texas locals

Unless you live in Hawaii, then no need for 6 plus inch lift. :D

You are correct on our interaction.... I am more curious with who is installing this and saying no refunds or changes.
Rule 1.... the customer is always right.
If customer is wrong, refer to rule #1.

The more infuriating part is that I tried to cancel within 24 hours of ordering. Now Im just hoping my wheels will fit as promised by the shop. Although there's not much research bc most people upgrade the wheels and tires. Id really like to wait a few months and recoup costs before upgrading, especially since I just bought them!!

Your 16 inch wheels should fit fine.

Maxtrac requirements. No wider than 9” wheel No less than 4.5” backspace. Your 8” 0 offset should work. That being said id never do business with a company that doesn’t have a return policy.
