    Hello everyone,

Sold my last tacoma back in 2017 (it was an 06') and purchased a loaded f150 lariat with all the bells and whistles. Now ready to downsize again and really struggling with my options.. Here's the dilemma:

Is it worth the extra time/money/effort to track down a lightly used (2019+) TRD off-road with the tech package (sunroof, leather, heated seats, etc.) or should I Just settle for the standard TRD off road?

I'm finding it hard to let go of all of the amenities I currently have in my f-150 and really feel like I'll want to find a compromise with the technology package..

I’d go TRD OR with no sunroof but all the other amenities you want. Sunroofs are always more trouble than they are worth in my opinion. Might be hard to track down and a long wait but worth it to get what you want.

If you care about leather seat and heated seat, you can always go get Katz kin for less than $2000. I think inventory is low everywhere so slim picking out there

Heated cloth seats are one of my favorite options in my truck, the sunroof is quite nice too.

I think buying new would be much easier and that's also a possibility. New with all those options (leather, heated, sunroof, etc.) appears to be over my budget. Does anyone know how long it's been taking if you order one?

    As of Thursday there were 571 SR5's ( V6 / 4WD ) in the U.S.
    There were 58 Access Cabs
There were only 8 in White and 2 in Cement... I think 2 in Red the rest were Black or Gray.

Prices ranged from 34,498 to 45,298 ... that's right folks .. 45,298 I think it was in Alaska

Prices going up weekly - so if you're gonna pull the trigger good luck finding what you want and if you
find it, buy it... worst case scenario is you can sell it for what you paid for it in a year ... heck you may
    even get MORE .

The dude who sold me mine called me today to check up see how things were going, I yapped about the
inventory numbers and he said yea I check daily and your numbers are on the mark. He said they often
have people buying them as they come off the truck, not on the lot an hour and they are gone.

The one I got was on the lot for half a day until I got it - had 6 miles on it.

I think the entire industry ( Ford / Chevy / u name it ) is in a bind.

NEW 2021 TRD OR Silver metallic w/ roof rack but no extra options.. 38,750 and toyota financing...

    OR

USED 2019 TRD OR PREMIUM concrete w/ leather, heated seats, sunroof 37,500 and probably room to negotiate

    Story time:

I was set on purchasing a 2018 F150 Lariat (nearly exactly what you described). At the last minute I realized I didn't need a full size truck and started looking into the Tacoma. Like you, I had certain things I wanted that the F150 had. Pretty much everything you described (although no cooled seats in the Taco).

I ended up going with a certified used Tacoma TRD Off Road. It has all the things I was looking for in the F150 (minus remote start, which I added later). I don't have the leather seats, but I kind of preferred that. If it were me, I'd be going for exactly what I want and don't sacrifice. My other option was a 2020 Tacoma in Voodoo blue, but it was basic and didn't have the options I wanted and that was more important to me.

    My vote is the 2019.

2019 would be my choice by a good bit. Carplay can be added and power seats probably stay in one spot forever. Love mine built pre pandemic.
