Considering I have a zero turn, it’d be used for general yard work like hauling dirt and mulch, yard cleanup, getting the mail, etc.

Also it’d be used for chasing down the dogs if they ever decide to make a run for it

 

Morning, everyone!

House shopping in the Pittsburgh area is stupid right now. Everything is going waaaaaaaay over asking. I'm wondering if we're headed towards another housing bubble burst...

 

I've even heard of gong over the asking price , almost like a auction of some sort. Realtors say "taking offers". SMH

 

Sounds understandable I would think if it was impossible question to answer everyone would be on the same page.

If things are not up and running in a certain time frame the vendor pays a penalty that was more common 30 and 40 years now not many will take the responsibility . Then it can be so far up the pay grade we grunts never hear.

 

It really is. Looked at a house yesterday. They did an open house on Saturday for 2 hours. Saturday night, my realtor told me that the sellers had received multiple offers on their house and they wanted everyone's best offer by Sunday night at 7 pm. I toured the house on Sunday morning and knew immediately that it was going to sell for way more than they were asking. It was listed at 289,900. I expect it will go for much more. My realtor thinks it'll go for $325k. It's listed as "Contingent" now, so we'll see when/if the deal goes through.

 

Might be a sign might be time to be the guy in the truck checking out jobs before the fact .

I know I could not handle being in a office for more then a few days.

It is crazy. The house across the street from me sold for about $10k above asking several years ago and I thought that was nuts. According to Zillow my home has increased in value $25k in the past 2 months and I don’t see any valid reason for it. The wife keeps talking about selling the house and building a new one on some property her parents own, but with the cost of building materials right now, I don’t know if that’s such a great idea. Good luck on your house search though.

 

It's definitely a seller's market. I spoke with a sales rep from Ryan Homes on Friday and they said that they're selling houses and townhomes extremely quick, too.

 

I'm hoping it works out too. I know I should slow down and let the young guys get after it harder but it's hard to do. I still like showing them the fat, old guy can keep up with them

 

Tell me about it I was toe to toe with the kids right up till that last fall did me in.

 

I have a feeling this one's gonna make me take a step back and let the the young guys jump in first

Well looks like surgery on my elbow. Apparently I messed it up pretty good so having it done tomorrow.

 

Dam sam , well ur not wasting any time thats good. The sooner you will get back to work. Did they say how long PT before u can work?

6 to 8 weeks till I can work but probably go back before that to hold a stop sign in the work zone. That's gonna be tough, out of all the jobs where I work that's the one I don't not like. We all try to take turns but to do it all day for days in row gonna be rough. It all pays the same so it doesn't matter I guess

it could be worse, I just finished 7 months of recovery with no work.
