lets get a run already tapered if that makes sense. i think we still need to on the blower too anyway.

you may get me to consider this as well. would I be able to run with the TB and adapter or would it not make sense without shaving it down?

So stock for us I believe is 65mm. 4runners are 70mm. I did it and didn’t cut anything. I can’t tell you I feel a difference however with a bit bigger of an orifice, I gotta say it supplies a little bit more air.

That's the main reason I want to do this.. give it as much air as I can since I have the snorkel.

If that would help at all

I'm finding some possible (and CHEAP!) 76mm TB candidates with a quick ebay search. That's where I found my 76mm for $125 a few years ago.

From URD: "(the)stock 65mm throttle and upgrade it to the 76mm throttle valve found on the later dual VVTi engines found in the 2005+ 2UZ-FE 4.7L V8 and 2007+ 3UR-FE 5.7L V8. Throttle valve from a 2006 Sequoia does not fit."

    Form follows function
Given the next bottle neck is the SC inlet. Is there a benefit if 76mm over 70mm. Thought I read some back and forth a few months ago on the tuning thread. Also that you can’t port the SC to 76mm.

that's what I recall as well which made the decision not to do it. If it's worth it ill give it a go depending on which one to use. truck needs air and of course snorkel (which is technically not hooked up) and I don't feel a difference

Received tons of PMs - lol .. thank you !

I’m giving preference to local peeps that are able to remove the parts at the shop. It’s going to be 1st come 1st served.

I don’t need stock replacements for all parts removed. Just need the truck to move/roll.

@GHOST SHIP is coming down tomorrow for the hangers .. and whatever else he wants.

@TheFang has dibs on UCA, LCA and both front Coils.

@Mista_G has dibs on compressor, locker and stop techs.

I’m thinking I only have till end of the week to remove before it’s headed off to the Junk Yard.

rechecking PMs to see if i missed anyone local that’s willing come by the shop.

lol .. ugh, I’ve been working on this. But will most likely replace the truck with a 4Runner, at some point.

96 GSR 4 door. Just got most of the suspension replaced/upgraded. Rebuilt engine on 60k.

Your GSR just transported me back to a time when shops/brands like JG, Güde, RevHard, DRAG turbo were prevalent at the local street races......in Mexico.

I’m having a hard time believing there are any hp gains with a 76mm throttle body and merely porting out the SC inlet. That little bit of extra air is still limited to flow through basically a 90 degree turn less than 76mm, through a straight runner which is less than 76mm and then turn again 180 degrees before hitting the rotors

76mm is best when used with snail style F/I and a custom intake manifold. If only we had those intake manifolds available.....

That's awesome. I had a red GSR from 2004-2011. Not as clean as that one though.

In college I had a fully stock 1994 2-door manual LS with a Type-R wing on it. :D
I miss that car other than it is terrible to carry mountain bikes with the tiny roof on the coupe. Small and lightweight cars are fun.

During that time, my sister briefly had a 1995 automatic 4-door LS before she was t-boned and it was totaled.

    I had a '96 Ford Probe GT w/ Long tubes and a 75shot of N2O. Made lots of GS-R and 5.0 owners upset. However, I always lusted after a 2dr GS-R..

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet.. but just saw that NST is restocking a small run of the SC crank pulleys.
