Kuntrykid builds a Taco!

It's been a while since I've been on here but last few weeks I've added a back rack & shocks from a 2019 TRD. Also new light bar for front bumper & pods for chase lights on the bed rack

 

New front brake pads @ 86k. Easiest brake job ever!

 

So bouta month or 2 ago I rear-ended some due to deer. Locked up for first deer then a 2nd after we both got on gas & that whe I hit her. But shit happens. My @Mobtown Offroad bumper saved my trucks life. A week or 2 later I was a victim of a hit & run!! Completely bent my tailgate in half. Still drivable atm. So lot of changes coming to the taco starting w/ new level8 mk6's 17x9 -12 offset wrapped in nitto ridge grapplers 285 70 17. Pinch welds done. Need to do CMC still... only rubs slightly in reverse both left & right. New tailgate is being sprayed now....

 

Got my tailgate finished for most part today. I think one of the rods fell out of place so ill have to reopen it & fix it. & ill add the badges once its said & done

 

CMC finally done... Yesterday! New years day! No more rub!!! Thanx to by buddy Steve!

 

Clutch went out last week so have it in the shop getting a new lce performance pro clutch for my lil 4 popper. Probably gonna do short shifter come tax time

 

So new LCE pro clutch is in & damn is it popping off the line definitely a whole new truck. Also flushed all diffs & Trans fluids.

 

So as a review of driving to work & running around it it definitely a better feeling clutch over factory. Easier to hold 25mph @ 3rd w/ power to spare vs being in 3rd not having extra power or 2nd @ more then needed rpms. Haven't really had much of an opportunity to test on hills yet...

 

Busy morning... Cut my exhaust pipe over the axle this morning, met up w/ @boogie3478 (thanx) to pick up new grill & shoot the taco shit a bit then to home depot to pick up tile flooring for bathroom & kitchen & filled up gas can for mower. Now that I'm home it's time to mow & get painting finished to start flooring later this week.

 

Just gotta say I definitely like having a grill on my truck! Thanx Brian aka tacomaholic. Now to get these damn retros done between house remodeling... blah! @boogie3478
