    Inferno 2016 Tacoma SR5 DCSB RWD :( 2.7L 4-cyl.
    2017-2021

Not new to the forum, just never bothered creating a build thread cause there's nothing to tell.
April 2017, went to Toyota and put in an offer on a Inferno 2017 ACSB TRDOR 3.5L V6 with 3 miles on the odometer. That truck was sold and ended up in this one preowned with 26k miles. At the time of purchase, I lived downtown and thought I surely wouldn't need 4WD. Welp, times have certainly changed and so have my tastes and priorities. Now driving a 2017 TRDOR. I'm truly gonna miss that inferno color though.
    Not too much has gone on here. ̶S̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶c̶o̶n̶s̶i̶d̶e̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶r̶a̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶a̶ ̶4̶x̶4̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶e̶v̶e̶r̶a̶l̶ ̶d̶i̶f̶f̶e̶r̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶s̶t̶e̶a̶l̶e̶r̶s̶h̶i̶p̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶s̶e̶v̶e̶r̶a̶l̶ ̶d̶i̶f̶f̶e̶r̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶o̶c̶c̶a̶s̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶I̶ ̶k̶e̶e̶p̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶i̶n̶f̶e̶r̶n̶o̶ ̶a̶n̶y̶m̶o̶r̶e̶.̶ They truly don't make em like they used to.

An impressive set of photos, however...I see lots of other cars/people in there

Just think of how many MORE photos you could have all to yourself if you had 4x4.

Barcelona Red is a badass color too, that not many people have...Do it!

Thats quite alright. I was havin a few last night and realized I posted a photo of an empty glass in the “what are you drinking thread”. It was an honest mistake. Guess I took one too many sips before snapping the photo. But I still managed to realize and edited my post. That means not enough drinks. Oh well, I can always try again tonight.:D

The expectation is that Utah photo, but often times the reality is the Santa Monica and the Michigan photo is the journey to get there. :rofl:It’s not all snapchat filters and Instagram hashtags all day everyday.

When you’re traveling to a new place for the first time, you don’t know which trails are open to the public and which will get you shot because it’s someone’s property. Also, the gf needed her precious cell service. That being said, we are no longer together.

Also, y’all get all that sweet BLM land out west. Ain’t none of that available here on the east coast.

I almost traded in for a preowned 6-speed manual trd pro. I was just a few minutes too late. I think I paid $27k for my SR5 and I just can’t justify spending nearly $50k on a brand new truck.

@kite_325 Amen to that! The TRD Pro is a sweet rig, but yeah I’m probably a little over my range on my TRD OR as it is, and I got a great deal too. I can always make my own mods and spread it out. No shame in being a city slicker...I like cities too! (I’m an Urban Designer for chrissake!) There is a certain comfort in knowing that I can get to (and get out of) more places with my 4x4 than I might be able to otherwise.

However...my bro had a sweet RWD ‘05 SR 4cyl. That he built up pretty nicely, and it went pretty much anywhere he wanted to take it just fine! Inferno is a sweet color too...if you love your truck and don’t feel limited, keep what you got. Don’t change a good thing!

I am absolutely obsessed with the inferno paint. Then again, orange is my favorite color. That being said, there have been some limitations. Trails I can’t go down, etc. and I really want to be able to drive on the beach which is prohibited for 2WD vehicles in this state. I have been battling whether or not to trade up to a 4X4 since day one of ownership. I guess I can rest easy now. I did a thing yesterday. Here is a preview. More to come.

I suppose if it really comes down to it, it’s easier to paint a vehicle than to convert one to 4WD.

Blazing Blue Pearl. I’ll have to put together some more formal details and photos once I swap out the tires/grille from the old truck. All the chrome is driving me insane. :annoyed: Build 2.0 is looking promising so far though.
