    working on it... :-)
I'm about ready to install my TJM rear bumper that I had powder-coated to match my Quicksand truck. I would like to add some additional rubber pads / strips to keep protect the powdercoating when parking near lightpoles or pylons.

I've seen a lot of aftermarket options but most are neoprene or similar thin, foam-type construction. I'd prefer rubber, at least a half inch thick. Has anyone out there seen anything like this or DIY'd something themselves?

My father had a removable pushbar he used in his drag racing days that he covered with a length of old motorcycle tire held in place with pipe clamps, to protect his hotrod from paint damage and the like. Maybe I'll have to use a bandsaw and cut out 4x4 squares and glue/bolt a few along the rear bumper. Seems there'd be some company out there offering something in sturdier material, even if it isn't specifically for bumpers.

Any suggestions or advice would be most helpful.

    Thanks!
